If they are behind the refrigerator, you have to roll out of the wall for access. To check, look for horizontal lines ventilation grille. Once you find the grille, unsnap it from the fridge with a simple pull.

With free grille, you’ll see a thin, metal rod a distance of about one inch apart. This is your coils. Clean with three easy steps:

  •  Brush Guide Debris

Use a soft-bristle brush in long strokes across the coil, both vertically and horizontally to loosen dust and debris. Appliance parts stores sell coil cleaning brush designed for the job, but you can also use a paintbrush or even a lap.
